Programmers would receive 3D models from our design department and program them to be milled in our cnc machines. In charge of how the part/ mold is to go about being set up and machined to reduce machining time. The software we used is hypercad/Hypermill I also have experience with Solidworks and actually prefer Solidworks or Unigraphics to program the CNC machines.

Run programs in order of operations according to power points.Also would edit programs to insure they would run properly and would change feeds and speeds accordingly to tool size/length to optimize the performance. Reduce wasted material by making sure stock is cut to proper size and that set up is correct.Always insure that the tolerances were held as tight as possible. Mostly used Hass VF-3/5/10s. also used large mills as well. Viper 3000s/Johnsford for our larger molds we machined out of P20 or aluminum. I worked my way up very quickly as was one of the more reliable employees to get the job done right and accurately.
