I completed PhD in Computer Science at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I focused on the development of advanced machine learning methods for structured output prediction. I also spend 3.5 years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in Barcelona, Spain, where I became skilled in bioinformatics and cancer biology. Throughout my career, I was seeking to apply my skills in the areas that are beneficial for humans, such as anti-cancer drug development, ecology, biology, space technologies, etc. I enjoy being a data scientist/machine learning expert because I can transfer my skills to virtually any area that involves numbers and data, and needs their understanding or wants to extract knowledge from them.I won the best paper and best presentation awards at conferences, lead a team that won a machine learning competition organized by the European Space Agency, published my work in several top-ranked scientific journals, and was awarded Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing where I achieved notable results in my country and won many competitions. I am also passionate about space exploration, cosmology, psychology, and the problem of human consciousness.
