Responsibilities included composing page layouts, designing and creating advertisements, retouching photos and proofreading text. Also responsible for typing, laying out and composing the entire classified section. Involved in page correction and last-minute changes on press day, as circumstances dictated. Wrote over 55 articles starting from June of 2010, usually taking photos for them, as well. Stories were a mixture of advertiser pieces, human interest stories, and the occasional hard news report. Also created original drawings and comics for the paper on a weekly basis starting in 2008.

Responsible for proofreading the written and visual content of ads; sending proofs for client approval and taking their corrections. Occasionally designed ads as well, working from client proofs. Was responsible on alternating days for laying out the newspaper as a whole, as well as overseeing the completion of weekend supplemental sections. Typed and proofread legal notices, laid out and finalized the classified section and checked final page proofs.
