Responsible for managing eight recruiters, two trainers, one operations manager, one recruiting section chief, and 100 trainees. Tasked with meeting the assigned Army National Guard recruiting mission, retention goals, and training success expectations for central Illinois. Responsible for managing the mental, physical, and administrative preparation of Soldiers for Basic Combat Training by our recruiters and trainers. Responsible for the health, welfare, and morale of a team of recruiters/trainers, human resources administrator, and a civilian contractor. This position focuses on Peoria, Macomb, and Quincy area's Recruiting, Attrition, and Retention plans, programs, and procedures for the IL Army National Guard. Provides staff planning and assistance to ensure that required actions and objectives are achieved. Serves as the Recruit Sustainment Program Commander and makes all decisions based on the program's best interests and its Soldiers.

Design and oversee individual, company, and collective training plans for five recruiting companies in the southern region of Illinois’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion.Selected ahead of his peers to develop and implement a recruiter training program that emphasizes meeting affirmative action/workforce diversity goals that build broader relationships with community organizations. Studiously documented personnel administrative requirements logically for accurate and representative government reporting of metrics for compliance and regulatory expectation management.Subject matter expert on all military recruiting/talent management operations.

Responsible for mentoring new and current recruiters for the Illinois Army National Guard Recruiting and Training Team in central IL. I assisted with recruiting events, approved marketing requests, quality control, checked all enlistment packets, assisted with applicant prep for the military entrance processing center, counseled recruiters that are not meeting Army or Recruiting standards, assisted with training our new soldiers in all aspects of our Recruit Sustainment Training Program, evaluate our trainers when they are preparing our new soldiers and most of all to support our team's overall goal of taking care of soldiers and completing our recruiting and training plans.

My responsibilities were to recruit Soldiers for the IL Army National Guard into vacancies in units across Illinois. My duties also included assisting unit leadership with their retention efforts. I was adjunct faculty for teaching Military Science at Illinois State University. I conducted community recruiting events, taught about the Army National Guard in H.S. classrooms/school assemblies, took care of Soldiers after they enlisted with their administrative needs, trained our new Soldiers in the Army National Guard’s Recruit Sustainment Program, and most of all ensuring that the soldiers I enlisted lived and worked by the Army Values.
