About Jené Liggins

I’m passionate about how organizations operate efficiently and effectively, and how culture is leveraged to attract, retain, develop, and increase autonomy in the people who carry out the organization’s mission every single day. To drive organizational effectiveness mission, I create systems to attract, develop, and retain talent; facilitate equitable access to the resources they need to thrive in their roles; curate rituals of connection and ways of being; and influence behaviors that reflect organizational values. My professional journey has focused on litigation; intergovernmental relations; legislation and policymaking; charter school operations; organizational development via analysis of systems, work processes, and internal relationships; external engagement; and communications.Based on my lifelong love of learning, since 2017, I’ve exclusively used my skills to impact public education. I wholeheartedly believe in public schools, and I’m guided by Dr. Norman C. Francis’ thoughts on why he worked in education after he was the first Black person to graduate from Loyola Law School in 1955: “The future belongs to those who are educated, so I turned to education.”

Listed skills include Legal Assistance, Depositions, Appeals, Research, and 13 others.
