Current• Managed the Technical Design team in the development and fit of the Billy Reid Men’s & Women’s lines.• Directed fit sessions, created fit reports, and communicated daily with vendors and factories.• Improved the efficiency of the workflow. The women’s line went from being consistently behind calendar, to being on or ahead of calendar within 6 months of my hire date.• Hired, trained & mentored the Technical Design team, including annual reviews & salary negotiations. Helped to build their knowledge and skill sets, and their ability to work independently.• Standardized block patterns, specs, & grade rules to maintain fit consistency for the brand.• Revised patterns as necessary to improve fit.• Analyzed return rates and took action to improve high returning styles.• Helped to create a cross-functional yearly calendar along with the Sourcing, Design, & Merchandising leadership teams.• Increased profit margins by suggesting more cost-efficient construction methods where appropriate.• Created a “How To Measure” manual to keep POM’s clear and consistent across all factories.• Traveled to factories to build relationships, problem solve, & better manage processes & expectations.• Managed the hiring, training & payroll for all TD interns, freelancers, & fit models.
