Brands have a major role to play in changing the negative connotations that still exist around recycled materials. It’s time to look at them in a very different way, as desirable and premium instead of tired and unwanted.And industry needs more collaborations and industry partnerships to create better materials needed and to recruit the facilities, mills and other producers in the supply chain to innovate. ReBlend wants to be the collaborative partner in the middle of all parties to push this innovation forward. We from ReBlend have pioneered an environmentally friendly process to make a fashion collection from new yarn and textiles from non-wearable garments. We believe in upcycling and that is why we work in close co-operation with designers, labels, manufacturers and recycling industry to develop prototypes, pilot collections so that these organizations can close the loop.
