I've always had a passion for technology. While working as an accountant, I often found myself innovating by creating templates and pushing for new technologies to help increase the accuracy and efficiency within my firm. Eventually, I decided to make that my full time role and transitioned into a career in IT, where I helped configure and deploy several enterprise level applications, provided nationwide training, and worked directly with vendors to help refine their software offerings to better suit my firm's needs.   I now work within BDO Canada's National Tax Office where I apply my experience to help drive the tax department in a digital direction by creating new tools, standardizing processes, and working directly with IT specialists and tax staff to ensure we are taking advantage of the latest technologies.My specialties include:- Workflow and Process Standardization and Automation- Document Management Systems- Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic- Various applications such as Taxprep, Caseware, XCM, and CCH Document
