Supporting and promoting nonprofit groups in their mission, and creating communities of learning that make lasting societal impacts.

Oversaw children and adult discipleship, led a weekly bible study, along with occasional preaching and other ministerial activities.

Led retreats in spiritual disciplines, Sabbath-keeping, and missional and contemplative living, specifically for youth-aged groups.

Fostered the spiritual and relational growth of community youth (7th-12th graders); planned and led weekly and special activities and ministry experiences designed to build relationships and to present opportunities for youth to be confronted by the love of Christ and the challenge to become his disciples; recruited and trained lay leadership and volunteers; led outreach to young adults at our church, etc. Was also regularly involved in many other aspects of pastoral ministry at the church, including preaching and leading worship for the main service, visitations, adult discipleship, etc.

Founded a volunteer ministry now known as the Grant Park Hub, a community that seeks to bring together the homeless in Pasadena and Christians from various local churches into a community of love and mutual respect, emphasizing relationship building and the restoration and recognition of each individual’s dignity and worth.

Logged 800 hours of officially supervised chaplain ministry, and an estimated 150 hours of additional chaplain ministry.
