At Dutch Bros, our product is love, our beverages are just the medium. Serving this company and its mission has been one of my greatest life experiences. During my tenure as General Counsel, I built the company's legal team from the ground up. Beginning with only me, I established legal systems and recruited the team needed to provide the company with legal services across its multi-faceted and ever-changing business needs and priorities. During that time, Dutch Bros grew from 150 to over 800 shops and expanded into numerous new states. I helped build new business models, supported multiple corporate reorganizations, negotiated needed financing, managed the transition of taking on an equity partner, and supported the company through an IPO. Most importantly, I zealously guarded our company culture and had tons of fun. Along the way, I refined critical skills in business strategy, team leadership, legal operations, people systems, and maintaining culture and morale during challenging and demanding business cycles. I also had the great privilege of raising my family, coaching soccer teams, attending a multitude of events, recitals, and performances, and spending time loving and supporting family and friends.

Advise employers on wage and hour laws, hiring, discipline, and termination. Draft employment-related contracts including offer letters, termination agreements, PIIAs and noncompetition agreements, and change of control agreements. Defend employers in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings or disputes under collective bargaining agreements.
