Project ManagerDell Services Sep 2010 - Jan 2012Creator and Manager of the Infrastructure Services Project Management Office• Conceptualized, developed and launched the Infrastructure Services PMO in order to govern the documents, processes and deliverables of all the global service contracts.• Determined and validated the costs to the transition of the full outsource the IT services of a US$75 M contract for a financial institution of USD $183M in revenue, first account of Dell Services in Mexico. This with the purpose to improve the entire IT infrastructure streamlines the IT processes, and leaving the opportunity to the customer.• Directed and implemented a US $2.6M storage monitoring project to reduce costs in all contracts, worth a total of US $1.5B. The project purpose was to reduce the monitoring of the storage units, and implement an automated alert system in case of failure. This project included the coordination of a global a team of software developers that created the monitoring interface. This allows Moody’s, McDonald’s and other customers to access their data in real time and have a disaster recovery environment.• Led and managed a team of 60 specialists to create and develop a critical practice assessment, a document that included all the improvements to all the services offered to Moody’s (remote desktop, storage, etc.) and implemented best practices to avoid delays or interruptions in the service (including the IT and contractual changes). This project was in order to renew the contract of a US$2.3B credit rating agency. Contract was successfully renewed.• Standardized management processes by implementing the rollout of a new project management methodology. This rollout included the use of automated evaluation files, new checkpoints with the PMO to validate and certificate the DMAIC stages of each project. The impact was a better quality in all the documents produced by project managers, a standardization for all services transitions and savings US$120K in savings. (only in 2012 contracts). -
