Development team lead (3 members).In charge of customer training sessions on our various tools.Architected, designed, developed and documented strategic tools used every day by partners and customers in their mainframe migration projects:LzTestCenter (250K LOC): web-based test suite for tests campaign management:- Used to validate equivalent results and performance between mainframe (MF) and LzSDM (LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe).- Built with pluggable tools for tests assets captures, automated replays, and smart time-independent comparisons.- Captured assets include database updates (captured data change by triggers on DB2 and traces on IMS DB), jobs, datasets, PDFs, 3270 & web screens, http/web services responses.- Reducing 80% of testing phase duration.LzWorkbench (100K LOC): Eclipse plugin for legacy applications (Cobol, PL/I, JCL) maintenance, part of LzSDM development environment:- Advanced edition/search: parsing, indexation, cross-references.- Distributed build and deployment, remote debugging.Source code analyzers (SCA, 80K LOC): used to determine static and partial dynamic dependencies between assets (programs, copybooks, transactions, jobs, databases, datasets): - Extended the tools suite for Cobol, PL/I, ASM, Java, JCL code analysis, DB2 & IMS DB DDL and SQL parsers.- Allows dividing discovery phase duration by 3.LzSDM logs analyzer (SLA): used to determine dynamic dependencies between assets by calculating call stacks of executions including SQL, CICS, IMS calls and datasets access.SCA and SLA are used during the modernization phase to split monolithic legacy applications into containerized micro-services. Managed the Development/DevOps department (8 teams, 45 members).On-site testing project manager for LzLabs in the successful Swisscom migration project.Architect and developer of data analysis and testing tools.Re-organized the Development/DevOps department and changed its processes:- Nominated 8 team leads.- Put in place Scrum principles and Agile Software Development methodology.- Generalized code reviews practice, automated tests and mandatory approvals for merge.- Decided and managed migration to Git. Put in place Gitflow workflow for branches management.- Managed the deployment of our automated “shift-left” Global Test Harness (GTH) allowing 25’000+ automated tests/run and 150+ runs/week, through orchestrated containers.- Piloted DevOps processes transformation by state-of-the-art CI/CD approach. - Co-designed and managed the deployment of an automated code merge process (build, code coverage and GTH containerization).- Put in place KPIs to measure product quality and delivery time improvements.This resulted in an overall quality increase (50% bugs reduction) and product release production duration divided by 2. It was key during the successful Swisscom mainframe migration.Participated actively in the following successful migration projects:- Swisscom (Bern): Mainframe to Cloud migration project. Manged the iso-functionality testing approach, developed custom tools for testing, and participated in the DB2 database migration.- BPER bank (Modena, Italy): Mainframe incremental migration project. Developed tools for web-services capture, comparisons, and performance testing.Pursued to design and develop other source code analyzer and testing tools.

Designed and implemented some source code analyzers (SCA) for the legacy discovery phase of the starting Swisscom migration project, used to determine static and partial dynamic dependencies between assets (programs, copybooks, databases) and to detect missing source code objects. The first version of the SCA tools included:- 3 source code analyzers for Cobol, PL/I and Java.- A DB2 DDL analyzer.- A DB2 SQL analyzer.Worked also on the design and implementation of strategic advanced automated testing tools for mainframes and databases migrations, deployed at Swisscom for their migration project:- Mainframe and LzSDM capture/replay tools of database updates based on triggers, and batches' datasets updates.- Comparer tools for the captured assets.

ECOPA (Electronic Control for Publishing of Advertisements) project team leader (4 members in 2009-2011):- Patented automatic publishing control of print advertisements in PDF newspapers by using watermarking and PDF data analysis techniques.- Project budget 600 KCHF.- Designed, implemented and launched in production the ECOPA solution (3 tier architecture). Usage of AWS S3 service for data storage.- Responsible for the business analysis, testing, and customer relationship.- Daily processing of more than 20 Swiss newspapers for Publicitas Switzerland.Local.ch (a joint venture between PubliGroupe and Swisscom Directories): participated in the development of the “association engine” used to deduplicate and standardize contact information coming continuously from multiple data sources. Launched in production with the first version of the local.ch website.R&D projects manager and innovation manager (2009-2011):- Designed and developed a solution for simultaneous publication of “Google Ads” on platforms of Google, Yahoo and Microsoft.- Creation of the Innovation Wiki of xentive.- Head and moderator of "innovation days" of xentive.

My main achievements were:ASAAP (Advanced System for Automated Analysis of Print) project team leader (4 members in 2006-2011), architect and developer:- Patented automatic transformation of print classified advertisements in online classifieds from PDF newspapers analysis by using image segmentation techniques and natural language data analysis to identify the ads and extract their metadata. - This product allowed to avoid the double-manual data entry for classified ads publication in the newspapers and their web sites.- Project budget 1.3 MCHF.- Cost reduction of 95% of the double-manual data entry estimated to 100 CHF per ad and revenue increase of 3% for Publicitas.- Designed, implemented and launched in production the ASAAP / AQC (ASAAP Quality Control website) software.- Daily processing of thousands of ads in more than 30 swiss newspapers for Publicitas and LocalPoint AllMedia (French, German and Italian languages), in more than 10 French newspapers for Hersant and in more than 5 Chinese newspapers for Publicitas China (English and Chinese).Head of the Publicitas Crawling project (4 members in 2005-2006):- Automated continuous crawling of largest Swiss jobs and real-estates classifieds web sites to identify the ads and extract automatically their metadata and associated content in order to automatically publish these ads on the Publicitas’ partners online newspapers web sites.- Project budget 900 KCHF. Revenue increase of 7% for Publicitas.- Designed, implemented and launched in production the autonomous incremental deep crawling solution (1 week of maintenance in 5 years).- Solution based on an innovative graphical-semantic analysis of web pages and URIs.- Daily crawling of the biggest online classifieds (real-estate and job) websites of Switzerland (from 2005 until 2011) harvesting more than 100’000 ads per day.

Head of R&D team software algorithm (4 persons). Project manager of the worldwide first pure software MPEG-2 full-D1 real-time video encoder on Pentium-III. Developed an innovative adaptive movement estimator in MPEG-2 using SSE instructions. Part of Vitec's products MPEG Toolbox-2 and DVD Cut Machine.Head of the Vitec part of the European research project Netcam for MPEG-2 video security at very low bit rate (< 1Mb/s in full-D1) and very high quality. Developed an objects detection algorithm piloting the spatial movement compression rate to keep the highest quality on moving targets. This algorithm allowed Vitec to win the European project (9 M€).
