Wells Fargo utilizes state-of-the art technology to satisfy the needs of more than 76.6 million customers conducting 95 million transactions per day on average. To protect our customers’ assets – as well as the company’s infrastructure and corporate data – the Enterprise Information Security team provides world-class cybersecurity risk management by addressing policy, process, operations, people, and technology. In my role, I define the strategic roadmap to drive the development and alignment of risk frameworks and governance to support the $32 billion merger, acquisition and integration of GE Capital. Each day, I cultivate relationships with supported businesses to identify, measure, assess, control, mitigate, report, and monitor current and emerging risk exposures for IT infrastructures, application development, intrusion detection, encryption controls, data transfer, migration plans, content filtering, and physical security. As a senior leader, I set the pace and direction for 4 project managers in a matrix environment, integrating input from functional workstreams to deliver phased integration plans impacting 3,000+ employees.I also used tactical insights to prioritize issues and initiatives, strengthen the organizational focus on risk identification and resolution, and standardize practices across regions in North America, Canada and Latin America, Asia Pacific/Australia/India, and Europe/Middle East/Africa.My initiatives have included:- Orchestrating the testing, vetting, prioritization, and transfer of 130 applications – as well as the structured and unstructured data – associated with GE Capital acquisition.- Defining and managing expectations to deliver measurable, high quality, and timely results.- Identifying miscommunication and procedure errors impacting the data migration plan, and then assisting international project managers to resolve the root causes which enabled data integrity verification in a time-sensitive situation.
