Biochemistry Ph.D. and NSF GRFP fellow from Virginia Tech. I aim to understand life on the atomistic scale by using the power of molecular dynamics, specifically considering the energetics of small molecules permiating membranes & proteins embedded in membranes using the Drude polarizable force field. Prior undergraduate experience in bioanalytical chemistry. I have been involved in several diverse positions both in and out of science, including student government leadership, lab management roles, and animal welfare volunteering. These experiences have made me a well-rounded and passionate thinker and give me a base to be the best scientist I can be.
