My initial interests in engineering probably began with building LEGO. During high school I became interested in robotics, and most importantly making things, through participation in the FIRST Robotics competition. Guidance from mentors lead me to pursue an education in Mechanical Engineering.I now have a decade of experience working in various manufacturing and operations support roles. I started out supporting electromechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair. I transitioned into CNC machining, where I supported the production of low-quantity, high-value space flight components. During that time I was introduced to Additive Manufacturing. I first started with printing plastic tooling and fixturing to assist in assembly and welding processes as I learned more about the additive processes available. Additive Manufacturing quickly became my main interest, leading to my current role as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer.
