Engaged in the Human Resources arena since 1985, I appreciate the profession. As Director of HR at Essex County Newspapers (when part of Ottaway Newspapers & Dow Jones & Company, Inc.) I enjoyed a broad range of experience and mentoring with skilled corporate professionals. As VP of HR at ITV and Marketing Concepts, and later Blue Vase Marketing, I learned the Direct Response industry. At both ITV and Blue Vase, we launched multi-level marketing opportunities. With DR experience I joined Great Falls Marketing as its HR Site Manager for a test location in Massachusetts. Currently with the Peabody Municipal Light Plant I am Director of HR and Community Relations. I mesh two passions, both dealing with people, namely co-workers and the general public. One thing is constant in every position .... The people are great!I belong to, and am certified through, the leading HR organizations, SHRM and HCI, and local affiliates, GMVHRA and NEHRA.Speaking in front of groups is fun, and I hold the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader designations from Toastmasters International. I am currently in the Pathways program.Community service is important to me; I have Life Membership with Kiwanis International, serving as Governor for the New England District 2007-2008, and District Secretary 2017-2019. I am also on the executive board member of the North Shore Local Council for United Way of Massachusetts Bay.I am active in my church, and serve as president of the St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church Parish Council.Fraternally I am a Freemason in Liberty Lodge A.F. & A.M., Scimitar Lodge A.F. & A.M. and Columbian Lodge A.F. & A.M. I am also active in Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriners.As a Justice of the Peace and Notary, I help people in important life issues.
