• Developed novel, environmentally friendly, and low cost wastewater adsorbents through binding cellulose nanocrystals to a range of inorganic and hybrid molecules
• Led fractionation and synthesis experiments through guiding and training laboratory personnel in the utilisation of high-tech laboratory equipment
• Conducted extensive research on the environmental and social impact of cellulose-nanocrystal-based products, their applications and production which culminated in a presentation to NEWRI researchers

• Developed low-cost and waste-based bandages which accelerate open-wound healing through utilization of human hair keratin proteins
• Assisted in the establishment of the first fractionation procedure to acquire enriched keratin fractions from crude human hair keratin proteins which retained natural antioxidant properties
• Compiled and managed laboratory data and conducted routine preliminary analyses

• Assessed conditions in dangerous environments and acted quickly and carefully to suppress fires, conduct rescues, and perform medical interventions in high stress environments whilst working in team settings
• Presented fire safety seminars in various settings including schools and businesses and trained volunteer firefighters working in high-risk environments
• Selected as the Valedictorian of the 54th Singapore Civil Defense Force Firefighting Course for dedication, adaptability and outstanding achievement in physical and theory-based examinations and training (2013)
