Director of Engineering, Maintenance and Support and Senior Flight Instructor:

Conducted flight operation as senior helicopter pilot (Aircraft Commander) from Alaska to Puerto Rico. 3000+ operational flight hours supporting military operations, search and rescue, law enforcement and many other maritime, EMS and Department of Homeland Security missions (pilot-in-command (2000+ hrs), senior flight instructor (650+ hrs), maintenance test pilot(1200+ hrs)).

Senior Systems Engineer & Project Manager:• Handpicked to lead, design and build the first integrated USCG Airborne Use of Force (AUF) helicopter configuration project. Completed project on schedule and within budget. Delivered 9 fully mission capable aircraft just-in-time to replace expiring $14M/year lease aircraft contract. Led project to transition AUF upgrade fleet-wide for 102 helicopters. Project cost $400M.• Implemented and led $500M project to extend the service life of the H-65 helicopter an additional 20 years. Created and led Technical Management Oversight Team of select senior engineering professionals in the aviation industry and military. Developed, wrote and led System Engineering Master Plan and Test and Evaluation Master Plan.• Coordinated superior engineering support and technical services to sustain operational fleet of 102 H-65 (AS365) helicopters ($714M program). Managed technical services department of 35 personnel, and maintenance department of over 200 personnel; supported 14 facilities nationwide. • Established strong operational financial budget skills in support of fleet sustainment, new product development, workforce management and supervision, supply logistics, aircraft and unit configuration management, quality control and depot maintenance scheduling.o Maintained 83% fleet wide operational availability despite concurrent multiple aircraft upgrades and fleet technical support requirements. • Senior technical authority for overseas engineering support and primary technical representative for $89M sustaining engineering and support contracts. Conducted several meetings overseas with Eurocopter (Airbus) and Turbomeca France as lead technical authority. Primary fleet airworthiness/certification engineering approval following major aircraft upgrades and/or critical maintenance.

Directed maintenance for 9 H65 (AS365) aircraft. Delivered safe, mission-ready aircraft and aircrew for CG fleet rotary wing training.

Polar Operations - 2002 AWS Arctic DeploymentManaged 2 mission-ready H65 (AS365) helicopters and aircrew for embarkation of Coast Guard Cutter HEALY for its 6-month Arctic Shelf Basin Interaction 2002 deployment. Managed $3.8M parts inventory in remote location. Conducted opertaional flights, directed maintenance and authorized aircraft release after critical maintenance; served as primary post-maintenance check pilot.

Held various positions as an enlisted Air Force/Army National Guard and Active US Coast Guard member.

Completed M.S. in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Aircraft Structures.
