As field coordinator of research and evaluation for TASC’s Center for Health and Justice, Jen is an instrumental part of TASC’s collaboration with Texas Christian University's (TCU) Leveraging Safe Adults (LeSA) project, which incorporates Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI) to help prevent opioid and other substance use in youth post-release from secure residential facilities.

Coordinated the efforts of four Mayoral departments for the Welcome Home Project to provide essential supplies to people formerly experiencing homelessness as they moved into permanent supportive housing.Organized and produced the inaugural Clean Streets LA Challenge, a City-wide program to encourage Neighborhood Councils and local community groups to execute innovative cleanup plans and earn grants.Delivered presentations with L.A. Sanitation on maximizing City resources, training constituents how to conduct safe, effective cleanups, and assisting with grant applications.Oversaw the Volunteer Corps, the service arm of the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. The Mayor's Volunteer Corps connects people with meaningful volunteer opportunities that support Mayor Garcetti’s objectives to revitalize Los Angeles, strengthen neighborhoods, improve the workforce, and inspire civic pride in all Angelenos—resulting in real, measurable, long-term change for the residents of Los Angeles. Worked collaboratively to grow the Corps, creating more opportunities for service in Los Angeles. Focus areas are Veterans, Ending Homelessness, Sustainability, Immigration & Citizenship, and Clean Streets LA.

Chill is a positive youth development program where boardsports become a vehicle for empowerment. Revolving around a core value-driven curriculum, Chill programs consist of experiential learning activities, reflection, and discussion, paired with boardsport lessons. Chill’s six core values provide youth with a foundation and framework for learning and growth, supported and enhanced through on-board progression and adult mentorship.Planned and coordinated all operational facets of the Chill Los Angeles program, a youth development program for underserved and vulnerable youth ages 10-18Formed strong collaborations with diverse partner organizations; designed and presented orientation sessions to outline goals, procedures and expectations for volunteers and partner agencies; created and oversaw implementation of ongoing development plan, including forming new funding relationships; contributed to program evaluation efforts; and maintained records of attendance and outcomes.

JVS' Mission: Serving the widely diverse Southern California community, JVS Los Angeles helps people of all faiths and backgrounds overcome barriers to employment so they can become self-sufficient. Research and evaluate prospects for foundation and corporate grants consistent with JVS’ mission; collaborate with Case Managers to create achievable program goals and outcomes; develop evidence-based Need Statements for Youth Services Division, including A Girl’s Place, a partnership with the LA County Department of Probation, and WIA Youth Employment Program, employment services for economically challenged and at-risk youth in LA County; create and implement departmental calendar and internal accountability processes; and write letters of inquiry, grant proposals, progress reports, and other correspondences to foundations and corporations.
