I am a Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in acute, outpatient, teaching, and critical access hospital settings. I have worked as both a staff nurse and a traveler in a variety of Emergency Departments and intensive care units ranging from 8 to 80 beds. I also have peri-operative experience in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally I've worked in outpatient interventional radiology, providing Moderate Sedation for patients undergoing procedures from peripheral vascular to therapeutic embolization. I truly enjoy providing safe, effective sedation and analgesia for these patients ranging from ASA 1-4. My passion is to provide exceptional care to patients through patient education, advocacy, critical assessments, and critical thinking skills, in correlation with the Physician, thus resulting in evidence based care that prioritizes patient safety. With my vast clinical background I hope to expand my knowledge and advance my career in Healthcare. My current interests are in medical device and pharmaceutical sales and support.Another passion of mine is Aviation. I've had my head turned towards the sky since I was an infant. You see, my parents met as flight attendants and worked in various capacities ranging from inflight to reservations throughout most of my life. It wasn't until 2012 when I finally took a discovery flight. When I had controls of the airplane, I was struck by the aviation bug. Over the years I've managed to log nearly 80 hours of flight time!! It was always a hobby, and I never thought it could be a career that would fit our family, until recently. I'm intending to balance nursing with my commercial pilot journey and see where the road (or... errr the skies) take(s) me!
