I am responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the university's strategic goals including leading the university's marketing and communications efforts and overseeing a team dedicated to building and enhancing the university's brand identity. I manage the day-to-day operations of university marketing efforts, including client relations, production calendar oversight, coordination of outside vendors and freelancers.

I oversee all communication and publication production of the marketing and communications office for the university. Responsibilities include project management, creative oversight and vendor management as well as serving as the liaison for strategic development and project communications with other departments in the university. Additional responsibilities include oversight of university's social media communication, assistance with media relations and event planning.• Accomplishments include creating and implementing a new project workflow and organization system for the creative team, participating in the development of a new brand identity for the institution and working closely with development and alumni efforts to implement new communication tools for fundraising purposes.• Additional activities include participation in committees and work groups including: Project One Diversity and Inclusion Hiring Recommendations Committee member, chair of University Staff Roundtable Group, University Strategic Planning Committee member and chair of Community, Service and Collaboration Strategic Planning Work Group.• Promoted to director position from assistant director position.

As assistant director of marketing I oversee all of the communications and publication production of the marketing and communications office for Transylvania University. As the manager for communications, I oversaw all communication and research documentation for the Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments, a research center in the College of Engineering. This includes promoting the center and its engineering research by developing the center’s website and blog, social media, print collateral, media relations and event planning. I led a creative team of videographer, video-editor and graphic designer as well as student interns and served as the producer of multiple videos for broadcast and Internet distribution including two Emmy nominated documentaries. I was responsible for developing new opportunities through internal projects and external grants and also served as Creative Director for the College of Engineering’s magazine. This includes organizing the production schedule, conceptualizing photos, layout and content and ensuring on-time delivery of the college's alumni and donor magazine.

As the Communication Specialist I oversaw all communication and research documentation. This included promoting the center and its research through developing the center’s website and blog, social media, print collateral, press relations and event planning. I also coordinated an eight week summer undergraduate student research program. Additional responsibilities included grant proposal writing, project management and developing a media archive system.

Priceless International raises awareness and aids survivors of human trafficking in the Caribbean. As Secretary of the Board of Directors, responsibilities involved maintaining documentation of board meetings and actions, developing communication efforts and overseeing administrative work.

Circle of Hope International is a relief and development organization focusing on developing communities in Malawi, Africa. As board president was responsible for organizational management, donor development, and communication strategy as well as overseeing field operations.

As Creative Director I oversaw all creative aspects of marketing firm including branding and identity development, design, project management, resource allocation, scheduling and management of direct reports while ensuring on-time, on-budget and effective creation of collateral in support of clients’ marketing goals. Projects included development of print and interactive materials for a Fortune 500 client, development of web, interactive and print materials for Washington D.C. based political action organization, creation of instructional interactive material for state PBS station as well as a variety of other small to medium businesses and non-profits. Additional responsibilities included company training activities, client interaction, development of company marketing materials, web presence, and annual promotional event.

As Co-owner and Media Producers I created communication materials including videos, web sites, and print materials for a variety of domestic and international non-profit organizations. Developed strategies that resulted in raising millions of dollars, awareness and developing personnel. Extensive experience in overseeing the completion of print, video and web materials for a variety of needs. Responsibilities included developing new clients, consulting with clients to ascertain communication needs, setting goals and developing project plans to maximize resources and creating budgets. Additional duties included business development and sales, project management, hiring and managing personnel.

As the Interactive Producer, I developed interactive multi-media sales and training materials for a leading global animal nutrition company. Responsibilities included working with company executives and sales personnel to effectively turn technical scientific data into high impact training and sales materials. Additional responsibilities included participating in trade shows, event preparation and overseeing presentation of multimedia projects for events.
