I am assigned to the International Port Security Staff at USCG Atlantic Area.

This position is assigned to Sector Virginia and located in Portsmouth, Virginia. The Hampton Roads Sector is responsible for the execution of all Coast Guard missions within its Area of Responsibility (AOR) with operational support from Coast Guard cutters and air stations.The primary purpose for this position is to serve as a Sector Intelligence staff member with responsibility for collecting, reviewing, evaluating, interpreting, and performing first order analysis of law enforcement intelligence on all maritime threats in and around the ports and coastal waterways; and provides the Sector Commander through the Command Intelligence Officer with actionable intelligence of tactical value, with emphasis on speed, agility, and coordination to support operations and decision-making.

Man USCENTCOM Joint Operations Center and provide USCG expertise in port security, commercial vessel operations, and incident/emergency management. Provide operational response support for maritime incident and joint exercises being conducted in the region specifically with a coastal, Coast Guard, or interagency nexus. Assist with Crisis Action Team management on maritime issues directly contributing to the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility

Intelligence Watch Officer.

• Serve on the Fifth Coast Guard District Intelligence Staff.• This is a federal civil service position (GS-12).• Responsible for creating and maintaining GEOINT products.• Required to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
