My name is Jacob Mathew, and I have been working as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer for over 16 years. During my time at Firenor Engineering (Formerly known as Consilium Middle East FZC), I have held many roles, including Site Engineer and Manager - Projects. In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing the set up of various electrical infrastructure components, including but not limited to switchgear, power transformers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), direct current (DC) systems, distribution boards, instrument installations, power and instrument cabling, earthing and lighting, cable trays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ESDs, fire and gas.I have successfully completed more than 15 onshore projects on schedule and within budget for the oil and gas sector. I lead and direct teams toward the successful completion of projects.People frequently comment on how knowledgeable I am in the areas of Electronics and Instrumentation. Expertise in working with P&IDs, selecting instruments, reading specifications and data sheets, evaluating vendor data, planning instrument placement, drawing wiring diagrams and logic diagrams, and creating instrument loop sheets are just some of my many instrumentation specialties.In my spare time, I enjoy learning about new developments in the field of project management, especially as they pertain to electronics and instrumentation.I am currently looking for a Project Manager position with a reputable company where I can put my skills and experience to good use.
