Ms Matson has studied the subject of tea within and without of the United States since 2009. She has been a key note speaker for events in AU and the USA and most recently giving live workshops for Eventbrite via NY. She has been invited and studied with tea programs, both in Taiwan and Japan twice over and has traveled to tea farms and production facilites in other countries as well. In her state of MN, Ms. Matson has hosted tea events that range from educational to afternoon tea. She continues to blend tea and study in this field. She continually pursues the better understanding of the tea leaf and its various cultures and enjoys sharing the wide variety of partaking in this fabulous beverage!Tea builds a community of friendship like no other.

Ms. Matson is a member of the Specialty Tea Institute and has been studying tea for over ten years. She provides teas to tailor to upscale restaurants, cocktail menu tea provider, has catered tea events of various sizes and has a fine dining- corporate training background. Additional studies include; Nutrition, culinary, pre-med, language,science and psychology.She has been a speaker for groups in various parts of the US, speaking on tea history, Jane Austen tea era, tea manufacturing and development, etiquette and more. She has spoken for the Library Guild alongside author, Laura Childs, and has developed private tea blends for The Minneapolis Guthrie Theater, knitting guru-Steven Be, author Cindy Jones of My Jane Austen Summer and for Helabore and Rue a collection of Vampire and Witch short stories. She is currently working on a Regency styled tea book and presentation as well as a saucy piece of tea poetry for those passionate about the leaf! The Jane Austen Tea Series tea are sold globally in Museums, gifts shops and tea rooms and are served locally in cocktail menus for the savvy restauranteur. In addition to the Food and Beverage industry, Ms. Matson has worked in the alternative health care field for over 17 years. Utilizing the intuition she developed working closely with clients, she now applies this in the tea industry. Studying at length with various masters of their fields and learning how natural plants affect the human chemistry.Within this field she began to explore the significance of sharing tea with others at the end of each session, learning more about the production of tea and discovering how this beverage plays a part in our lives for health, for comfort and for enjoyment. With respect for the leaf, the process and joy of the final product, Ms. Matson continues to learn about and share the teas she finds meet the high standards for a quality cuppa.
