During my career in innovation management, I realized that climate change was going to have profound implications for the strategy of organizations, in terms of both adaptation and mitigation. I joined the Msc Strategy and Design for the Anthropocene, a unique program that trains pioneers in the new approaches to strategy that these challenges require.

- Directed the strategy, development and launch of 12+ new oral health products per year across APAC ex-China.- Managed 14 employees including 8 direct reports. Reported to VP Marketing.- Transformed the innovation approach to lead with consumer experience, leveraging digital prototyping and validation, in close collaboration with Global Design, Global R&D and APAC digital transformation teams. - Consulted internally with Global C-suite on strategic innovation topics including organizational and ecosystem design, governance for Horizon 2 and 3 innovation, foresight and monitoring disruptive external forces, as member of global task forces.- Consulted with APAC leadership on digital health ecosystem strategy and business model innovation involving devices, insurance, multisided platforms, making use of business design and future-back approaches to strategy such as foresighting and future narratives.

- Pioneered an entirely new Horizon 2 & Horizon 3 digital business innovation function and dedicated team, composed of a business designer, technologist/coder and business developer, focused on developing new services for emerging needs of Japanese entrepreneurs. Reported to CEO.- Implemented new ways of working including Design Thinking, Business Design, Lean Startup, Agile and Growth Hacking. Pioneered innovation portfolio governance bringing together investor board, innovation lab, CX team and digital business development team.- Established innovation ecosystem involving a community of potential customers, network of Fintech entrepreneurs and network of private and public entrepreneurship support organizations.- Scaled Graftpreneur (now Kagyo Aid), an online and event-based community business model supporting an emerging yet underserved category of young entrepreneurs, generating new leads for NN’s financial services.

- Identified entrepreneurial opportunities that can scale to health systems across Europe by shadowing medical professionals in Sweden, as key member of an interdisciplinary team of experienced professionals (medical doctor, management consultant and engineer).- Developed an early-stage digital solution to address patients’ therapeutic compliance.- Applied Stanford University’s Biodesign innovation method for highly regulated, R&D-intensive industries such as healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals.Full-time, fixed term assignment.

Initiated, designed and taught a 7.5 ECTS credit course on the Design Thinking innovation approach bringing together 35-60 students yearly from Stockholm’s top 5 higher education institutes (Royal Institute of Technology / KTH, Stockholm School of Economics, Karolinska Institutet, Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm University) and achieving some of the highest teacher ratings.

Co-founded a venture that achieved a 10x increase in volumes for a specialty bicycle by leading the pivot to a digital business model and redesigning the product for a targeted, digital first growth strategy.Note that since the end of my involvement in 2016, the brand is now associated with bicycle store owned by my former partners.

- Managed and facilitated the flagship Design Thinking program, ME310 Design Innovation, in collaboration with Stanford University and involving 12-16 full-time, high caliber Masters students yearly.- Coached student teams, facilitated workshops envisioning and shaping industry partner’s early stage technologies including Airbus (Airport of 2040), Thales Angenieux (future of cinematography), Suez (sustainable city infrastructure), GDF / Engie (sustainable utilities), Panasonic (consumer electronics).- Supported planning, budgeting, academic programming, grant writing in order to establish the Paris d.school, a cross-institutional project with 4.1M€ of public funding.
