First, finally sold the house last year (2012) & moved to Pottstown. Would like to have a part time job if anyone out there knows of a QA position that would be PT, let me know.

Answered phones, helped customers with appointments (making, changing, confirming), created tax packets for new clients, took payments for services, cashed out at end of shift, reconciling what the computer said was paid vs what was in the drawer. Handled discrepancies, as multiple people in the office could take payments during the shift. Called customers on behalf of their tax preparer to see how well or badly their prepare did for them. Updated computer system with results.

Performed QA on the system from Encoda that assists doctor practices with insurance billing. This includes different insurance companies & Medicare.

Reading, going to PT for knee, shovelling snow & ice, being with Murph (the dog!).

Worked as a consultant with Tekmark Global Solutions.Performed changes to ASI package, which contained Inventory and Accounting, Planning, Accounts Payable, and other systems. • Using 4th GL, wrote small interface systems that would read DB2 databases, VSAM and flat files. The output would be other VSAM and/or flat files and/or reports. • Modified, completely rewrote or wrote from scratch many COBOL programs. In some cases, took a minimum specification (several lines of comments or verbal requests) and fleshed out actual specifications and the resulting code, JCL, etc. Sometimes, this meant working with the user departments to fully understand their needs.• Created procedures to handle the compilation and testing of batch and online programs in Xpediter.
