• Advanced Programs, Payloads and Special Projects Mechanical Systems Integration Group• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems integration of internal and external payloads for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs) using engineering design principles to insure proper fit and function structurally, mechanically, electrically and thermally when exposed to various environments• Drive, document and manage sub-system/payload integration requirements, conceptualize multiple mechanical solutions and drive down appropriate selection process to converge on final solutions• Design sheet metal, machined, composite and 3D printed detail parts and associated final installation kit assemblies• Create 3D CAD models/assemblies and 2D drawings (meeting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing ASME Y14.5 standards) utilizing Siemens NX, PTC Creo and PTC Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software• Perform structural static/modal finite element analysis (FEA) and tolerance analysis • Lead and troubleshoot initial prototype sub-system/payload integration activities onto aircraft, document issues and implement corrective actions• Lead technical design review presentations• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure all project requirements are met

• Provided mechanical design engineering support for the Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF) located at Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR), Systems Center - Pacific• Designed and developed ruggedized COTS based rack mounted equipment for military communications systems• Modeled designs using SolidWorks and created drawings to meet ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards• Created 3D printed parts used for prototyping and fit checks
