AMP is the first and only campus-wide impact venture accelerator at UC Berkeley. Associated with BIVP, the accelerator funds approximately ten impact startups in the Fall, and then provides them with an accelerator program in the Spring, culminating in a pitch competition with a chance of additional funding.

Berkeley Impact Venture Partners (BIVP) is the first impact investing fund developed at UC Berkeley. BIVP incorporates course work and an expert network with stewardship to identify and grow impact startups developed within the UC Berkeley ecosystem.

Galerie Cali (www.galeriecali.com) is both a studio and virtual art gallery of original paintings by SF Bay Area impact artist Cali (pseudonym for Jorge M. Calderon). The style of Cali's artwork can be best described as a blend of impressionist, fauvist, figurative expressionist, street art and abstraction art movements. Paintings, typically large format, are characterized by uncommon color palettes, distinct variation of lines & brushwork and deceptively simple scenes & subjects intended to support personal connection and provide historical context. Cali has had several of his paintings selected for gallery showings, including the 2020 deYoung Museum Open.

Springworks was launched to primarily help create pathways for under-targeted groups and improve diversity in entrepreneurship and venture capital fields.• Designed and manage the Springworks Scholars program that provides two years of curriculum and coaching support for minority or women MBA students interested in innovation careers. 85% of graduates are currently in venture or portfolio start-up companies.• Founded WE Generation program which is a network of university chapters that encourage and support women entrepreneurs. Piloted initial chapter at Haas/Berkeley and Ross/Michigan.• Initiated the Carver Society program which is a network of university chapters that encourage and support minority entrepreneurs.

A consulting practice focused on providing services to the venture capital ecosystem• Provided entrepreneurs with guidance through growth phases and fundraising, and helped the investor community with custom deal sourcing and due diligence support.• Advised rich media based technology firm through sell vs. strategic capital raising decision, ending in multi-million dollar fundraising success.• Created venture investment industry standard assessment tool for early stage companies called “the Risk Profile Compass”.

Output provided client with recommendations that will be executed in their 3-year strategy plan.• Led channel analysis in the Unified Communications (data & voice) space for large multi-national software company with tiered distribution. Recommendation used to create next generation channel program for the largest provider of UC software.• Led segmentation analysis for a $2 billion dollar technology company specializing in data storage. Recommendation used as foundation in evaluating new initiatives necessary to satisfy 5-year revenue goal of 2.5x current year revenues. • Provided due diligence analysis for a financial services company who was interested in providing a large loan to a financial buyer who was purchasing a regional airline. • Worked on a segmentation analysis for a large media company located in Southern California who was interested in understanding the effect of the Hispanic culture on product demand. The resulting analysis was used as basis for the clients strategic product planning and development.• Managed analyst recruiting for San Francisco office, leading to a 38% increase in applicants.
