Jean-Michel Cazabat is a New York based French designer currently creative director of his own label as well as the new luxury vegan brand AERA New York.Coming from a photography background, driven by his love for style, glam and high fashion, JMC moved to Paris earlier in his life working as photographer for L'Officiel and Le Figaro Magazine.Soon he was introduced to the son of the legendary shoe designer Charles Jourdan. He started working as sales director then hesoon became store manager quickly learning everything one needs to know about the shoe business.His great performance as seller lead to his partnership with Stephane Kelian when he became manager of international wholesale and moved to the United States in 1985.After 10 years of remarkable growth of the brand - that in the meantime had opened 12 new stores - JMC was offered a new partnership with Charles Jourdan becoming its creative director in 1995.In 1999 JMC opened his first showroom, showcasing collections of major designers and also taking the opportunity to launch his own shoe line.CCOAfter his first success in the early 2000s Jean-Michel Cazabat became a strong established luxury brand, worn by all major personalities in the show business, ranging from Lenny Kravitz, Keith Richards Elton John, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristen Stewart, Lea Michele, Miley Cyrus and many more.Recently JMC co-founded and designed a new sustainable luxury vegan brand that's gonna set a new bar in the modern shoe business designing mindful, 110% sustainable, made in italy glamorous shoes.
