Pathrise is a tech platform and mentorship program that helps job seekers through the duration of their job search. I was employee #40 and my primary goals were to 1) increase revenue and 2) manage and grow the Product Management track. Some of my highlights were: 🚧 Managed post-production live operations for a new service while staying in budget. Streamlined workflows and communications between contractors and vendors. Enabled 40x customer growth in just 9 months.🕵️ Launched premium product at 2x price by collaborating with Engineering, Design, and Marketing. Conducted pricing analysis to validate assumptions, earned stakeholder buy-in, drafted specifications and timeline, mitigated risks, and managed roadmap. I had the unique and very cool opportunity to join AIM Brands during peak COVID to help them commercialize novel science to create at-home COVID tests. I was employee #3 and my job was to do whatever it took to build the business. I hustled to make so much happen very quickly including: ⚗️ Establishing key partnerships with universities (to license the science) and labs (to validate our product).🛡️ Figuring out how to protect our intellectual property - I wrote & filed the provisional patents!🚨 Filing for emergency use authorization with the FDA.👨‍✈️ Planning and executing a pilot to collect enough data for the FDA.🏭 Assembling a scalable supply chain, developing a manufacturing process, and planning back-end IT processes.📝 Creating a business plan and investor pitch deck for acquisition before liquidation.We were ultimately unsuccessful and I'd be happy to talk more about why we failed and what I learned.

Catalytic used technology to enable non-coders to create automations for many business processes. Filled a variety of roles on key initiatives to help scale following a $30M series B raise. 🤖 First, I automated hiring and onboarding processes to prepare for rapid growth.🤝 Then I met with a B2B customer and partnered with our engineering team to develop a new AI product under an urgent client deadline. Specially chosen for my curiosity and big-picture thinking, I was challenged to find a better way to run the 350-person Engineering and Maintenance departments. 🎢 I visited 20+ analogue plants across disparate industries (aero, pharma, a brewery, etc.) and noticed that the most successful had a culture of using data to make decisions. 💲 I convinced my leadership team this culture was worth implementing, launched a training program to teach over 400 people the fundamentals of my new strategy, and persuaded my CEO to invest heavily in implementation.🔱 After earning investment, I led implementation. I spearheaded a major cultural transformation among the 350-person Engineering and Maintenance department to use data to become more proactive. Simultaneously managed 8 cross-functional teams of 8 (without formal authority) and reported progress to the CEO and his executive team. 🏆 After only 18 months, I nominated the program for an internationally recognized Uptime Award, winning Best Leadership for Change Management.
