Tickets are categorized Critical, High, Medium, etc., and tickets that have “spend block” added get highest priority. In my time at TTD, I focused my time working on Pacing (both overspend and underspend), Budgeting, Tracking Tags, and (app-)ads.txt type tickets. When working most cases we utilized SMSS connections to our Production or Prod-BI databases using basic select statements or intermediate select statements with joins. In an average day, SQL and Vertica work or queries constitute about twenty-five percent of our day, or if working reporting requests, it can be all day.Pacing tickets - troubleshooting begins by checking the UI for ad group pacing setting. Then query the budget server via Vertica to get a report broken out in 5-minute intervals that tells us reason to stop bidding, potential bid counts, keep rate and actual keep rate. Ads.txt tickets - using a Vertica query to pull inventory avails, it classifies the types of inventories using a case statement. Other quick ticket types include SQL transactional cases such as: archive/unarchive ad groups, advertisers, campaigns; whitelist advertisers for GDPR purposes and so forth.I also occasionally take cases asking for custom reports from our reporting servers based in Vertica. Some troubleshooting cases will lead to pulling a custom spend (bidding) report to tell our business team the story of how a bug/error or other issue affected an ad group or entire campaign. TTD’s success with customers has come from our ability to provide transparency reports on almost any aspect of our campaigns, and it Support can fill the request, we escalate to our BI dept. I would regularly check creatives that are not tracking impressions or clicks. I have experience in troubleshooting DCM ad tags plus work on discrepancy cases with DCM & Sizmek. -
