I am the Lead Data Systems Manager at the Springfield Area Transit Company. In this role, I lead the Data Systems Team, which performs all planning and scheduling functions, as well as supports all technical systems used by the operation across AVL, fare collection, daily operations management, and asset management, including managing projects which introduce new features or processes in these areas. I and my team ensure that employees at different levels and in different departments use various software tools to the best extent possible to provide the best possible transit service for the people of the Pioneer Valley.The Springfield Area Transit Company (SATCo), is the largest of the six contractors operating transit service for the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA), headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts. PVTA is the largest regional transit authority in Massachusetts, covering twenty-four member communities in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
