JohnMCameron@cox.netI've taken a very unique path to get to where I am today. I sputtered out of the gate after high school and wound up waiting tables at Olive Garden. In desperate need of respite from the mundane life I was creating for myself, I started modifying a Trans Am I had recently purchased. I quickly found that not only did I enjoy the hobby, I was good at it. With very little experience in the industry, and doing all of my work from a FedEx Kinko's because I couldn't afford Internet, I started Top Tier Performance in 2003.TTP was a small but robust company that specialized in street and race engines and transmissions. Using targeted marketing and social media campaigns that led to strong direct internet sales, I built a strong network of dealers that offered our solutions. I grew TTP into a successful company with 12 employees. Unfortunately, the Great Recession hit businesses based in hobby industries, like TTP, particularly hard.Top Tier eventually succumbed to the economy, and I decided to give school another shot. Having had a taste of success, I dedicated myself to my studies at the University of Utah. After moving to San Diego in 2011, I began working at Blue Tech Inc. Federal IT solution sales was new to me. Through hard work, and because of my ability to quickly adapt to new environments, I succeeded, being promoted before those with more tenure and well ahead of the previously understood schedule for advancement. In FY13, I blew away expectations by bringing in a full three times the revenue that was projected.I have been successful across a wide variety of fields, covering several industries because I have a strong drive to win. Whatever the project, I give more than is expected because I demand a high level of performance from myself.
