At Arup, my focus as a FIire Engineer leverages over four years of fire safety research, culminating in a PhD at The University of Queensland. Specialized in the flammability of construction materials, my work is pivotal in developing safer building practices. The journey through research and practical applications has honed skills in chemical engineering, with a strong emphasis on fire dynamics for performance-based design.The University of Queensland provided a dynamic platform to teach, tutor, and supervise across various chemical and fire safety engineering disciplines. In collaboration with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, we formulated fire spread risk assessments and created calculation tools aligning with Australian Standards. This symbiosis of academic rigor and industry application drives my commitment to engineering resilience in our built environment.
