As a Product CTO at DevFactory, I am responsible for establishing the technology direction for numerous digital products, ranging from a cloud-based Telco billing solution to a cloud cost optimization tool able to cut 50% of most organizations spend. This metro Wi-Fi architecture connects hundreds of thousands of devices every month and scales to process millions of events every day.This architecture was built completely separate from the Telecom production network as a Greenfield's architecture and involved following key components:- 1000 x Wireless Access Points – Ruckus and Cisco- Wireless Transport Network – a wireless transport network hosting a diverse range of access technologies was required, including various xDSL and fibre products from Layer 2 providers such as Chorus, Enable, Vector and CityLink, and Layer 3 providers such as Gen-i WAN Services.- Session Management – a Cisco Service Provider Wi-Fi session management architecture was adopted, using Cisco ASR 1000 routers to provide session management for subscribers, and a high performance FreeRADIUS solution with dynamic, multi-tenant authorisation capabilities.- Subscriber Management – lead architect/developer for in-house multi-tenant solution that facilitated session management integration, subscriber registration using SMS, vouchers, OAuth and credit card payments- Significant development using .NET MVC, Web API, SQL Server 2012, RabbitMQ using a Reactive Microservices style architecture- Infrastructure hosted in Microsoft private cloud (Azure Pack)
