PolarRFX was born as a natural evolution of BuyPower based on its extensive experience in purchasing. PolarRFX, is a S2P (Source to Pay) platform that facilitates the digitization of purchasing processes from the search of suppliers and offers to the control of orders and invoicing, keeping centralized management of suppliers and their interactions, digitizing and streamlining the processes of all purchasing department.My responsibilities as CTO involve:- Management and leadership of the PolarRFX team, from the definition and prototyping phase to commercial launch.- Managing the product/development team, 10+ people, by providing mentoring, training, guidance and feedback necessary to help team members grow within the company.- Defining and maintaining common software development methodologies and processes with emphasis on agile methodologies and QA.- Defining and maintaining the core technologies and core capabilities that define the PolarRFX standard (*).- Identification and management of the network of qualified external suppliers to complement the developments with those technologies that are not strategic for PolarRFX but necessary for the final product.(*) Core technologies:Spring Cloud/Netflix OSS, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, SonarQ, AWS,Azure AI, CI/CD with Jenkins

(Formerly Master in Web: Communication, Marketing and Business)The Master is a commitment of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona to cover with quality training the growing demand for Web-focused professionals fully qualified to understand all the intricacies of the medium and direct web projects aimed at conversion.As a teacher, in charge of providing training in Web technologies for students from fields such as communication or economics, enrolled in this first edition of the master's degree. This technological base ranges from the structure and protocols of computer networks to the development of Web applications and the different languages involved.

Responsible for the introduction to Web technology module of the postgraduate course. In this module, the basic aspects of the Web are studied in depth, from the necessary network protocols to the most important Web languages. This introduction allows Postgraduate students to acquire the necessary technological base to be able to exploit all the tools within their reach to obtain results in the world of online marketing.

Research aspectMember of the Biomedical and Personal Autonomy Applications group, where my research is developed in the field of Web Accessibility for the Disabled, specialising in Authorisation and Repair Tools. I work intensively with classifier systems, data mining and web standards to offer solutions that have been published in international conferences and in national and international journals.TeachingTeaching in various subjects ranging from computer networks, or programming, to basic fundamentals of computing. The results of my teaching have been published in national conferences.I am also responsible for the direction of final projects focused on Web Technologies and Applications, always respecting the Accessibility regulations.

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) I am responsible of the software development department of BuyPower where we coordinate the technology strategy of the company for the development of internal solutions and commercial products. The responsibilities of the position can be grouped mainly in:- Conceptualization and management of proprietary products based on BuyPower's procurement consulting and procurement reduction experience as PolarRFX. - Managing the product/development team by providing mentoring, training, guidance and feedback necessary to help team members grow within the company.- Defining and managing the standards for the entire development process from conceptualization to coding or deployment of solutions (*). With a strong focus on microservices, CI/CD, version management and automated testing. - Decision and management of the infrastructure required for both development and deployment of products (from AWS to gCloud and other Cloud providers).- Identifying and managing the network of qualified external providers to complement developments if needed.Achievements:- Productivization and commercialization of PolarRFX as our own product.- Creation of an internal software factory exclusively for BuyPower.- Transition and technological evolution from early 2000's architectures to current technologies.- Organic growth of the technology and product/functional team up to 10+ people. (Eurecat is the result of the merger of several technology centres including Barcelona Digital).Technical Team Leader and Software Architect in the eHealth area, specifically in the Integrated Care line, participating in projects for important companies in the private sector, as well as in different European projects, especially CONNECARE. The main objectives of these projects are in the fields of mHealth and telemonitoring, always focused on the patient and his needs, deploying the results in important national and international hospitals.As a natural evolution, I am the technical team leader of the Integrated Care development team. In addition to the technological selection in the area's developments and their definition, I am in charge of managing the team using agile methodologies and with special interest in the use of continuous integration systems (Jenkins) and automated testing (Postman, Jenkins) to optimise development and delivery times.As a software architect, I am responsible for the definition of the main architecture of the platforms that support the different projects in which I participate with a clear product vocation. All of them with a strong focus on the integration of pre-existing systems as well as general commercial consumer products (such as wearables). From a technical point of view, the platforms we work on are based on microservices architectures following DevOps recommendations for continuous deployment (Spring Cloud/Netflix OSS, JPA, Dockers, AWS, Jenkins).Finally, in order to perform the above tasks, I participate in the coordination of international projects (public or private). All these tasks involve direct communication and negotiation with different clients or partners both at a technical level and, if necessary, at a management level.

Software architect and researcher in the area of eHealth where I participate in projects for important companies in the private sector, as well as in different European projects. My activity is mainly focused on the fields of mHealth, Telemedicine and Telemonitoring, Ambient Intelligence and Human Computer Interaction.In particular, my responsibilities as a researcher are related to the field of eIntegration and access to new technologies for all, exploring new HCI paradigms, or improving the current ones, thanks to the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques. On the other hand, as a software architect, responsible for the definition, together with the health team, of the main architecture of the BDigital ICC Tele-rehabilitation platform (Spring, Hibernate, SOA). Also, of the proposed solutions for clients in the public and private health sector. At the public level, responsible for the architecture of the BackHome project (Spring, Hibernate, SOA, WSO2, BCI) of the FP7 framework programme as well as the final version of BrainAble (Spring, Hibernate, BCI, IoT). Finally, I am project manager as well as responsible for the preparation of new projects (public or private). All these tasks include communication and direct negotiation with different customers or partners.

Consultant, software designer and developer of Web applications based on CMS (Fatwire) and J2EE technologies (Spring, Hibernate) for important companies in the public sector. My responsibilities were related to the development, design of ad-hoc applications and the relationship with the client as a technological reference including direct communication and collaboration in different areas of the client to obtain the best possible results.
