I am a very driven person who takes immense pride in any position I take on. I am very passionate about interacting with other people and working to understand what it is that they need, be that in a sales setting, or in a setting that is more health and life-focused. I have always enjoyed creating meaningful, long-lasting connections with those whom I interact with, whether professionally or personally. I strongly believe that creating these connections is what makes people feel confident in the choices they make and can make the biggest impact in people's lives. During my academic career, I have taken courses in psychophysiology, abnormal psychology, clinical neuroscience, child and developmental psychology, statistics, computer science, and American Sign Language. I plan to take these courses to continue developing my skills in the fields of clinical psychology, neuroscience, and medicine. Outside of academia, I have garnered experience in retail environments during my summers and part-time during the school year. I take pride in staying with any position long-term, even while in school. My intention with any position is to learn anything and everything in order to take as much knowledge from the job or the people in the business as possible. Both of my positions in retail have been in roles of higher responsibility and have taught me a great deal about leadership and working in a team to achieve a goal. As such, I enjoy taking on responsibility, even beyond what a position may call for, as I believe it gives better insight into why people make the decisions they do and it allows me to be a helpful voice when working through any number of possible challenges. I am also very passionate about technology and am constantly looking to broaden my understanding and knowledge about it, whether that is learning computer science and programming in languages such as Python or Swift, or learning new skills in the world of technological productivity tools such as Office 365 or GSuite. I believe that technology, when created with the intention of advancing and bettering humanity, is the single greatest and most important endeavour that this generation can undertake.
