J.M. Grimaldi, Executive Managing Director of Continental Partners, specializes in commercial debt and equity placement secured by retail, multifamily, office, industrial, seniors housing, self-storage, net-leased and hospitality properties throughout the United States. He joined Continental Partners as Director in 2011, was promoted to Managing Director in 2014, Executive Vice President in 2016 and Executive Managing Director in December 2023. He is responsible for securing debt and equity financing across all product types as well as training, leading and mentoring a team of junior agents. Grimaldi oversees the firm’s annual production north of $500 million along with Paskover.Mr. Grimaldi is a seasoned commercial real estate professional with more than 15 years of brokerage experience. He began his career in 2007 as an investment sales associate with Marcus & Millichap and member of its National Office and Industrial Properties Group. In 2010 he joined the Large Loan Group as an underwriter and analyst for Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC). Over the course of his career, Mr. Grimaldi has directly participated in over $1 billion worth of investment property transactions and been featured and quoted in numerous industry trades including: The Crittenden Report, California Centers Magazine, National Real Estate Investor and on GlobeSt, RENTV, REBusinessOnline and the MBA NewsLink. His clients include many major institutions, REITs, syndicators, lenders, developers and private parties.Mr. Grimaldi is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of California.
