With experience in the public sector, research, and consulting and degrees in both engineering and public administration, I work with agencies to develop processes and tools to get the most value from their transportation investments. I support transportation network managers as they balance the needs of different modes and user groups, keeping an eye on equitable distribution of the costs and benefits of projects. My first priority is the safety of the people who use and work on our streets and highways; putting safety first is always a good investment. I apply a wholistic, safe-system approach that considers the context of the trips we make each day, which leads to better decisions for the network today and in the future. To understand the human impact of the work we do, and the human factors that impact the safety and operations of the system, I use innovative approaches to strategic communication with network users, clients, and contractors from planning through project completion. My goal is to help build and maintain a transportation system that is safe and equitable for all.
