J. Michael McCarthy, CFA is Managing Director of Neuberger Berman’s Private Investment Portfolios Group and Head of Infrastructure. Previously, Mr. McCarthy was a Senior Portfolio Manager with APG Asset Management where he managed a multi-billion portfolio of direct equity, joint-venture and limited partnership assets across the Americas. Prior to this, Mr. McCarthy was at UBS Investment Bank in both the Office of the Chairman and the Americas Infrastructure groups. Previously, Michael was a founding employee of Infrastructure Ontario, responsible for pioneering the development of public-private partnership projects in Ontario, and ultimately serving as Vice President, New Build Nuclear Procurement. Michael began his career with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance. Mr. McCarthy has served on several Boards including multiple toll-roads, fiber provider Conterra Networks, as well as several joint-venture and limited partnership advisory Boards. He holds a B. Commerce (Honors) from Queen’s University, an MBA from Columbia Business School and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
