The Society is wholly dedicated to the continued dialogue of important social, political, economic, and scientific discussions.AS Treasurer I prepared and administered a semester budget of over $25,000, while conscientious of the long-term impact on over $400,000 worth of endowments. Although I handled all cash flow into and out of all 6 endowment accounts, my push was to restructure alumni donation flows into the Room 7 account, which currently outspends its endowment capabilities at an 8% draw. This program was a success, as endowments saw a substantial increase of $46,000 from the previous semester, when I served as the Appropriations Chair.As Appropriations Chair I conducted an independent audit of the Society’s accounts, budgets, and assets totaling over $354,000 at that time spread across multiple endowments each dedicated to various programs.

Raven is a $126,000 holding company owned and managed by elite students from the University of Virginia. With a total return of 14.4% in 2016 the fund operated with a 70% long fundamentals and 30% event driven outlook. It was created in order to achieve a more professionalized experience for its members. The main goal of Raven is not to educate its members, but to maximize returns for its owners. Raven is a fully registered business in the State of Virginia and operates with legal guidance from University of Virginia law students and professors.

The fund actively trades based on fundamentals with nearly $600,000 under management even after the summer market tumble. As an associate analyst, I work together with a team to provide new stock pitches and advise on position changes with current holdings.

Due to the implementation of new marketing tools and strategies, I will continue to work with the firm during the academic year as a low-commitment marketing consultant. My primary responsibility will be the upkeep and creation of new marketing campaigns.

As a full-time intern for an independent financial advisory firm, I served in a multitude of roles.
