The job is best described as "the guy who knows how to do a little of everything": creating/maintaining the website, web store, product documentation, user manuals, tech support, in-house database, shipping, product assembly/packaging, photography, illustration, and sometimes mopping the floors.

Page layout, illustration, copyediting for print media; implemented first version of new company website.

Wrote, illustrated and laid out company newsletter; edited copy and did page layout, prepress for training materials; installed and administered company email system, in-house web server; cgi development in Tango for company website and training sites; provided hardware and software tech support for coworkers and clients.

Prepared press-ready artwork, mechanicals; typesetting; illustration; operated A.B.Dick small-format offset litho presses; bindery operations; installationa and tech support for in-house computer typesetting systems.

Controlled all aspects of screen printing exhibit materials for trade show and museum exhibits; printed on-location Phase 3 of Tennesse State Museum's Civil War exhibit. Prepared photographic and mechanical transparencies; screen stencils; print execution; hand lettering.

After (and sometimes during) college, I worked variously as a day laborer, tobacco cutter, bus driver, boat tender, circus electrician, press operator, illustrator, ranch hand, equestrian performer, and piano player in a saloon. And sometimes I just hitchhiked around and took it easy.
