Part of a small team responsible for designing and maintaining the network presence across the Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield university campuses.- Design, install, and maintain a secure and segmented Cisco based network across all three campuses. Some of the network devices in play were Catalyst 9300, 9500, 3650, 3850, Nexus 7k, FTD, and ASR. - Act as a “subject matter expert” and provide the highest level of troubleshooting for switching, routing, and wireless issues.-Mentor jr infrastructure team members, technology support staff, and student workers in network troubleshooting techniques.-Plan, design, install and deliver a functional wired and wireless network in all new construction projects on campus. Some of these projects include the new Arts and Administration building which is a 4 story building with a mix of academic and administrative offices and a new 7 story residence hall which houses 400 students, university store and two chain restaurants. - Maintain wireless network consisting of over 2200 Cisco wireless APs utilizing Cisco Prime infrastructure at the Bloomsburg campus, and approximately 1500 Aruba wireless Aps at the Lock Haven and Mansfield campus’s- Install wireless APs, perform wireless surveys and verify the RF environment with Ekahau, and troubleshoot reported issues with the wireless network- Maintain the physical data cable plant across the campuses, consisting of copper and fiber cabling and terminations. Coordinate large scale cabling upgrade projects with outside vendors and the university Planning & Construction team.- Assist in managing the Avaya Aura phone system consisting of both VOIP and digital phones.

One half of a 2 person IT team responsible for network infrastructure, security, cabling, server infrastructure and workstations for a smaller school district (Approximately 250 staff and faculty members and 2000 students). -Maintained an HP/Cisco based networking environment consisting of Cisco ASA firewalls, Two HP 5412 chassis core switches, and HP Procurve access switches.-Administered all servers, including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, and various databases.-Maintained a secure wireless network consisting of a Ruckus Zoneminder controller and Ruckus APs.-Migrated physical servers to the virtual VMware environment as well as migrated all end of life Windows 2003 servers to 2012R2-Implemented a Linux based open source networking monitoring tool, OpenNMS, to monitor servers and network infrastructure and alert us when there is an issue-Implemented a print server (Windows 2012R2) and set up logging to easily deploy printers and track printing-Successfully planned and executed multiple 1:1 initiatives so each student in grades 7 through 12 receive their own laptop (9-12 laptop 7-8 Chromebook). This required us to survey and expand our wireless infrastructure, craft group policy to lock down the machines and filter content to remain CIPA compliant.-Migrated Moodle to a new server running 2012R2 with IIS and synced Moodle with Active Directory users.-Set up new computer imaging solution, utilizing WDS and MDT to streamline the imaging process to thousands of Windows based PCs in the district.-Set up and maintained SCCM and WSUS to push out Windows updates, antivirus, and software to workstation computers.-Technology support for all faculty, staff, and students
