In late 2018 I transferred to a part time Advisor role, where I supported Walpe at their investment processes and strategy. I advised on portfolio construction, allocation and performed equity analysis.

As Director, my responsibilities included portfolio management, investment analysis and reporting to the Board of Directors.My focus was on publicly listed equities but I also spent considerable time on private equity projects and real estate opportunities.

At Walpe, a privately owned family office, my responsibilities included investment research, portfolio management and ad hoc private equity investments.Mainly, I searched for mispriced investment targets in the publicly listed equity space on a global scale. These could be underfollowed small caps, special situations (spinoffs, mergers) or companies with exceptional business models. The investments ranged from tactical, short holding periods to long-term buy-and-hold situations, where the target company is researched thoroughly (meetings with management, participating in conference calls).Occasionally, I worked on private equity projects, where I performed financial analysis and valuation. These were be projects done in-house or in co-operation with our advisory partners in Finland or Asia. As we emphasized global investments, I performed investment research and traveled in several Asian countries, most notably Vietnam.

The Trainee Program consisted of a rotation in Portfolio Management, Equity Research and Equity Sales in Evli Markets.

My main responsibility was equity research (public companies on the OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange). I also worked on corporate finance projects that consisted of financial analysis, modelling and valuation of unlisted companies.

My role in Nordea’s Corporate Cards included customer service and advising colleagues with IT systems. I also helped develop the bank’s card operating system.

My responsibilities included customer service and cash and currency management. I also advised clients in investment planning.
