Technical Lead Engineer for the 2nd generation Iridium satellite systems team, responsible for coordinating test and analysis efforts, resolving or escalating issues to maximize test efforts. Responsible for the integration, test and validation of software and hardware requirements developed by multiple vendors throughout the world. Lead the daily shift transition meeting to maintain lab and test continuity and minimize rework. Design, write and develop test plans, detailed test reports, issues and perform the investigation and analysis of data to verify requirements.* Developed test start and test end scripts to standardize retrieval and processing of test data for continuity, reducing operator error and decreasing overall test time.* Designed and wrote automated regression scripts utilizing Perl, bash and JAS scripting languages that test the overall functionality and integration of SV, gateway, payload and ground segment control software.* Developed test plans and procedures, products and resources that trace back to corresponding test requirements, defects and features using Software Planner. * Performed tests of flash addresses, component and segment revisions, Telemetry Rate Format (TRF), Satellite Vehicle Routing Tables (SVRT), boot block and RA tables.

Performed real-time mission operations management, which includes Satellite Vehicle (SV) anomaly resolution, engineer-directed testing, and SV monitoring and commanding of the Iridium Constellation. Provided detailed anomaly and issue reports on satellite anomalous behavior based off of data analysis. Provided on-orbit anomaly investigation and resolution. Position required a detailed knowledge of space vehicle functionality, including vehicle bus, core payload, and ground systems. * Provided function and technical guidance regarding tests and test results to engineers and program management. * Was assigned to be the primary test engineer for discovery phase of re-epoch testing.* Provided guidance and leadership in test procedures, test implementation, and test analysis.* Valued as the technical expert for numerous test procedures and vehicle subsystems.* Perform functional test analysis on OS COMET satellite control software and its interfaces with the ground network and satellites utilizing Solaris and Linux environments. Ensuring that the delivered software and hardware functions at scale with a full telemetry load on the system.* Quickly came up to speed on various test systems, test processes, and data analysis tools to become lead test engineer for numerous on-orbit anomaly testing and software updates, working directly with software developers to design tests, replicate on-orbit behavior and resolve on-orbit issues.

InSide Plant Lead for a network installation project including over 130 buildings at 8 sites with multiple installation crews. Position provides global perspective on technical projects – technical, logistic, and end-user issues, scheduling and reporting needs, configuration and risk management, and issue resolution and escalation. Integral team member responsible for supporting installation teams, developing procedures, interfacing with customers, briefing management, minimizing costs, and meeting deadlines.Directed contractors in the installation and repair of several thousand internet drops, hundreds of network cabinets in hundreds of buildings, along with fiber optic cable installation to the buildings and rack power, including SIPRNET. Worked with US Navy personnel, from E-3 to O-6, Japanese and US contractors, and Japanese personnel. Dealt with asbestos and safety issues.* Developed QA procedures and trained engineers to ensure consistent evaluations and reporting.* Performed site surveys, developing installation drawings for classified and unclassified computer networks.* Served as liaison between contractors, engineers, and US Naval officers, identifying problems and designing solutions.* Quickly came up to speed on industry standards and “best practices.” Monitored work progress to ensure satisfactory end product. Trusted to make “in the field” design modifications.* Participated in operational tests of network equipment including Cisco switches, media converters and UPSs.

Demonstrated hardware and software for testing to all levels, from technicians to company presidents. Customers could be in any industry, however, primary they were focused in aerospace, biomedical, and fiber optic industries. Taught LabVIEW classes, ran presentations in front of 100 technical people, and led user groups.

Ran software simulations to improve program performance. Performed software testing on commercial satellite program. Participated in proposals and performed trade studies in the evaluation of hardware.
