Co-founded ATech Design and Consultancy, a technical consultancy startup that I ran together with three friends during my masters. We combined knowledge of electronics, mechanical engineering, sustainability, and robotics to solve a a wide range of technical problems for companies in the Eastern part of the Netherlands. Together, we founded our own consultancy company and worked part-time on various challenging assignments, ranging from conceptual designs all the way to detailed design and optimizations of existing production processes. Although we had a successful first year with a turnover of more than €20.000, we decided to discontinue the business and put our focus on finishing our studies and/or our first jobs.

São José Dos Campos Area, Brazil

I did an internship at ITA in the state of São Paulo. ITA is an aerospace research institute related to the Brazilian aerospace company Embraer. For this project I developed an autopilot for subscale flight testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The internship resulted in my first scientific publication that was presented at the COBEM conference in October 2019. The internship was graded with a 10/10. Responsible for the aerodynamic design and race strategy of a high efficiency solar electric vehicle, focused at winning the World Solar Challenge in 2017. Work consists of both conceptual design, detailed (CAD) design as well as performance evaluation (CFD) of a solar car. Besides the aerodynamic design I'm responsible for developing the winning race strategy model (C++) for Solar Team Twente. I was full time team member from August 2016 till February 2018, after which I continued my studies while providing part-time support for the new team in the form of being part of the application committee as well as the technical advising team.

Chairman of the study association of around 400 members. Responsible for daily management, coaching fellow board members, strategic policies and representing the association within the university. Together with six friends, we formed the first part-time board of, as this is normally considered a full-time gap year. We were nominated and ultimately won "best-board award" that's handed out by the Student Union of the University of Twente on an annual basis. Average time-consumption: 25-30 hours per week.
