As part of the OBTT Congressional pilot program funded by the Department of Labor, support veterans, members of the National Guard and reserves, and their spouses through providing job readiness resources. Organize Develop relationships with stakeholders in the Chicagoland area, including non-profit, corporate partners, government entities, and higher education institutions. Promote the program through strategic outreach and marketing efforts. Organize and schedule job readiness workshops.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client career goals, skills knowledge, and talents; provide feedback and tailor resumes to meet industry-specific expectations, lead mock interviews, and teach clients about local and national industry specific labor market conditions; coach clients to select their optimal occupational training, apprenticeships, and work opportunities that aligns with their stated career and personal aims• Guide clients through the WIOA grant application process, leading orientations about the program, tailoring delivery of information to meet varying learning styles, employing multiple modes to facilitate understanding of complex information and processes to complete• Develop relationships with partner organizations, companies, and higher education institutions to provide detailed program and career-path information to clients, and to facilitate wrap-around social services to respond to complex and emerging client needs• Oversee and maintain client case load, offering encouragement and guidance to ongoing training experiences, identifying supportive needs for further fiscal aid, and coaching clients on developing successful study habits

• Support burgeoning writers in the development of their writing and various professional and academic projects; assist international and ELL students in the refinement of their work for publication submission, conferences, master thesis or dissertation, and public presentation • Coach students on writing strategies and provide resources to enrich their research projects

• Provided year-round support for Canvas platform, including customizing course modules for instructors, updating course content, providing technical support, teaching instructors on using the platforms features, helping to grade assignments and quizzes, and communicating program and time-sensitive information • Evaluated endorsement applications for teachers seeking TAG (Talented & Gifted) endorsements, ensuring that program requirements were met, including credit hours, transferred credits, requisite courses, correct applications, and facilitated inter-department communication to provide a seamless experience for working professionals• Conducted research into gifted and talented education to generate most up-to-date teaching resources for instructors and learning sources for students; provided foundational research into the development of a master’s program for talented and gifted education • Taught practicum courses for teaching professionals gaining certification to teach gifted students, guided them through the refinement of target population and post-graduation career plans, graded assignments and their capstone projects, and encouraged them to participate in the programs various workshops and seminars and to join various educational organizations• Maintained a docket of +40 Honor’s Program students, reviewed their research projects, provided feedback on assignments and best academic strategies to succeed, and helped them map out their academic year and deadlines to meet
