I study educational choice, pluralism, finance, public opinion, and related education policy topics. Currently, I work with the Research and Thought Leadership team at EdChoice. In that role, I analyze school choice programs and their relationships with the broader education ecosystem, oversee and manage EdChoice's data collection for private school choice programs, and provide data analysis for EdChoice polling work. I write frequently for the EdChoice blog and other education and opinion outlets, including The 74 Million, the Washington Times, Real Clear Policy and Real Clear Education, and others. You'll find dozens of my op-eds in other popular outlets on a variety of other policy and cultural issues that catch my interest, from government audits to video game storytelling. Previously, I worked at the Indiana General Assembly, where I analyzed education finance, teacher compensation, tax expenditures, and other education and fiscal issues. Prior to my stint in state government, I was a research fellow at the Sagamore Institute in Indianapolis, where I provided research assistance on social entrepreneurship and child and family policy.I hold a Master's of Public Affairs degree in Policy Analysis from Indiana University, a bachelor's degree in economics from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a bachelor's degree in Honors Humanities from the John Wesley Honors College at Indiana Wesleyan University.
