I hold a Bachelor and Master Degree in Civil Engineer specialized in environmental engineering and sustainability (Polytechnic University of Catalonia, UPC). During all his studies and professional life I have been working in environmental engineering and industrial ecology fields. In the private sector, I worked two years for the public administration in Barcelona and for private companies related with the water industry and civil engineering sector. During my master thesis, I studied at the NTNU (Norway) the water—energy—carbon nexus. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in the UPC and within the Sostenipra research group in the ICTA institute in the Autonomus University of Barcelona, investigating the energy related benefits of urban agriculture. During my PhD I have been collaborating closely with Newcastle University (UK) and the Swiss research center of agriculture Agroscope.
