Before deciding to return to college to pursue an mechanical engineering degree, I spent over ten years working on aircraft with another five years of various technical and fabrication positions. I specialized in the structural repair of aircraft with the aim to increase their longevity. I worked with aluminum, steel and titanium sheet metal along with conventional and advanced composites in applications ranging from military to commercial and feeder cargo aircraft.I plan to use the sum of my skills to see that the future airframes and other structures I work on exceed expectations of their useful life span.
